The Government of Niger State and Jampur Group of Dubai signed the transfer of the decommissioned fertilizer plant, land and buildings, located in Zungeru, Niger State.

Jampur acquired 5 hectares of land and an existing fertilizer plant in Niger State, the center of agricultural production in Nigeria. With a planned investment of USD50 MM, Jampur will expand the fertilizer plant and start additional facilities for the assembly of tractors, implements and other agri-related manufacturing.

The chairman of Jampur Group, Mr. Mohammad Shafiq, commented that "this is the start of a significant investment program of Jampur in Niger State". Jampur in the coming months plan to meet increasing demands for fertilizers in Nigeria as a whole.
